Summer Festival Beads

Soon we are welcoming summer coming, summer always is a pleasure season, warmer sun and longer daytime, this is a good time for traveling, some places like the day is never ending until we almost getting to bed. That’s a lot of places will hold summer festival, people are celebrating summer coming, harvesting, music and stargazing.

Here The Palace Of Amber has a few summer beads to launch, they all are beautiful and come to grab them home.

Harvest

First, we have Harvest with us, as I remembered many years ago, I have been to a strawberry farm in Oregon during summer, there we can pick as many as strawberries we like, it is really a big buffer for us. And our Harvest bead is also about harvesting for strawberry, it is made of Strawberry Quartz with beautiful decorative core. On the decorative core, there are strawberry and bee, together with strawberry flowers on their vine.

Bintang Dangle

Our Bintang Dangle is the next, bintang means star in Malay language, Starry Night from Van Gogh always is the first come to mind. Stars always looks brighter during twilight, that is the best time for stargazing.

Bintang Dangle is designed as a dangle with starry ring and starry holder, the starry dangle is holding a facet Strawberry Quartz, it is twinkling under sunlight, reflecting the like just like a star.

Music

Summer Festival will never complete without music, music will bring us joy and happiness through different season. And here we completed it with our Musicaux Spacer. Musicaux Spacer is a spacer which has different musical notes dangling around it, G Clef, Half Note, Quarter Note, Eighth Note, Sixteenth Note, Beamed Note and Beamed Sixteenth Note, they are all the basic element to form a song.

Last but not least, The Palace Of Amber has Fleur De Lis Stopper to join our summer debut. Fleur De Lis is lily flower in France language, it always been used as decorative design or symbol in history. Lily is a summer flower that tends to bloom from early summer to fall. And we presented Fleur De Lis symbol elegantly around our stopper design, which is perfectly matching with summer theme.

Drop of Life

Drop of Life

The word  of “Edelweiss” means “noble” and “white”.

In old time, men would venture to Alps to collect Edelweiss for their loved ones. There was certain risk for collecting these flowers, and sometimes these men would fall from icy ledges and snowy peaks. If the person successfully collected Edelweiss, he was considered a brave man that willing to risk his life to prove his true love.

And The Palace Of Amber has released a new bead, we named it “Drop of Life”, its design is inspired from an edelweiss flower, there is a dichroic glass attached on the bead. This design just shows up the bueatiful of true love.

Sky Ballerina

Sky Ballerina

While entering summer,  we always capture a picture of colourful dragonflies skimming over a lake, lighting on the surface for a moment then rolling off again, they are adult stage dragonflies dancing for their mating, and lotus flower pond always is the arena in my mind. This dreamy sence is a live show of dancing presentation, this tells us that dragonfly is a talented ballerina.

Here we have released Sky Ballerina to our website, the bead is featured with a focal opal that encircled with 14k solid gold, which just resembled the lake surface by reflecting sunlight, and the opal is surrounded by dragonfly, lotus flower and leaves, it just sketched the lively scenario for dragonfly during summer.

And this Sky Ballerina is our limited edition design with only 55 beads available.

Snail Carved Amber Giveaway

In past few months, lot of countries around the world are suffering with COVID-19 outbreak, new cases and death cases almost hit the new high everyday these few weeks. And we really wish it will downtrend eventually.

This snail carved amber brings a special meaning, because snail always have their home along, this is very matching with what we need to do this time, we wish everyone practice stay at home and social distancing to minimise the spread of viruses. If we think on positive side, this actually is a good time for us to reconnect and spend more time with our family, as long as there is love, the home is always there.

After launching the Chipmunk for our spring bead, this time we have a dinosaur designed silver bead launched, we named it Dino Princess.

Dino Princess is a very cute silver bead, she has a pair of big eyes which made of black onyx and a beautiful crown with a tiny pearl on her head. There is a love pendant attached on her chest, which is showing us that she is a kind hearted dinosaur.

Kind heart always is a good value to make a person gains more appreciation and respect from others. When there is crisis, kindness always will touch people heart and spread the love around. As shown in our picture, there are 4 different cutting available at our websit, we named them as classic, new cut, baby and mini. Classic cut is the one that we have all along, new cut is slightly smaller than classic, then follow with baby and mini, below is their dimension details for reference, this will be rough measurement.
Classic – 13.9mm x 9.3mm
New Cut – 12.6mm x 9.2mm
Baby – 11.1mm x 8.6mm
Mini – 10.4mm x 8.6mm
In our product list, classic will be listed without any cutting naming, while the rest will have their specified cutting in their product name, hope this will provide you some insight on stone selection and please feel free to contact us if you need further information.

After the long cold winter, we welcome spring revisits the world.

We always relate spring to joy and life, every plants and creatures start to alive, which was withered starts to bloom and which was hibernated starts waking up. And some chipmunks are one of them.

Peace Catcher

In ancient Native American Ojibwa Chippewa tribes, there is dream catcher created, which is a symbol of protection and comfort, it was traditionally used to protect sleeping people from nightmares. Dream catcher would be hung above the bed in a place where the morning sunlight can hit it, it attracts and catches all sorts of dreams and thoughts into its webs. Good dreams will pass through and gently slide down the feathers to comfort the sleeper below. However, bad dreams are caught up in its protective net and destroyed/burned up in the light of day.

And The Palace Of Amber has our version of net or web covered hoop bead design, and we named it peace catcher, this bead is designed with a silver beautiful climbing plants covered a hoop, just looks alike a dream catcher hoop, and there are angel wing, feather and dove dangles beneath the hoop as dove is represented peace and love. We designed this bead for wishing a peaceful world, with no war, no pain and no suffer for every living creatures in this world.

We wish it can have the similar function as dream catcher, allow good deeds, peaceful minds and everything promote harmony in the world can pass through and gentle slide down our silver dangles on the bead. Do you know bee actually is a very important insect to our environment?

Lot of plants and crops can only grow with existent of bees, as they are the most important pollinators in this world. As a pollinator, they help the growth of farm and wild, they even help the growth of tropical forests, savannah woodlands, and temperate deciduous forests, animals will lose their shelter without these. Besides playing a role as pollinators for plants, bees also a food source, they produce honey not only for humans, but also for other animals and insects, bees themselves are also a part of the food chain.

However, due to climate change for these few years, some flowers blossom season has shifted, lead to bees are lack of food sources when the season starts. Rapid development has also destroyed bees’ habitat. All these result to bee population all around the world decline significantly.

Here The Palace Of Amber has designed a new bead for this spring, we named it “Hi! Hi! Hive”, and it is a juicy beehive with bee dangles on the hive, there are some bee friendly flowers grow around the hive, bring the meaning to bees as a pollinator role in this ecosystem. On the hive, there is a hexagonal opening which is the most suitable shape for honeycomb structure and honey storage, it also represent a door to their home here. This bead is designed with a meaning to remind us to protect our environment, showing more care to every parts in this ecosystem.
